Fabulous genuine Oil painting Manchester Opera house
This is a wonderful original old, framed genuine oil painting on board, of the historic Manchester Opera House.
The painting allows the viewer to act as a voyeur within a theatre scene, overlooking a couple, sat in an elevated box to stage right. A very beautiful sensitive scene which transports you right into the theatre.
Due to the colour palette, and painterly technique, in addition to the clothing and hairstyles of the couple, we estimate the date to be approx early 20th century, 1920-1940? (The previous owners of the painting have confirmed this.) Sadly this painting is unsigned,.

Condition= The painting is in good condition. The period heavy wooden frame in good old condition in line with age, i.e. there are a couple of scratches on the side of the frame, and there is a small nail hole top right corner, where there is also a small gap in the frame, doesn't affect its stability.
