YELLOW CANARY HAT, by celebrated artist Jonathan Green, is one of the artist's early works from 1995. It features a Gullah woman with her hand-crafted wide brim yellow sweetgrass hat and summer cotton dress outside having just hung sheets to dry in the lowcountry breeze. Mr. Green is known for his beautiful depictions of African American life in South Carolina's lowcountry. Matted with black wood frame.
