Vintage late 70's Electric Guitar Flight Case for Stratocaster, Telecaster or SG. Working, Reliced. Offers?

A beautiful old probably late 70's case with a great collection of stickers. It came in a pair (see second and last pictures) and any Sherlock Holmes fans might deduce they belonged to a touring session or band musician, who played several times at Granada TV studios and gigged around Europe. We also found a well used slide bottleneck in one case. Wonder who the cases belonged to?

Regulars to our site know we think if you want a case to store your vintage guitar, why not get a vintage case?

We also think that new cases can be pointless for people who actually play their instruments and move them around. A new case, soon picks up scuffs, marks and dings. So, why not save yourself a bunch of cash and buy something that will do the same job second hand?

As far as 'will my guitar fit' questions, the case is not symmetrical and is hard to measure accurately, so your best bet is to go by what you see fits: A Fender USA Jeff Beck Stratocaster, a Fender USA Telecaster and a Gibson USA SG. Those dimensions can be found online.

Please check condition description. It's a working case with wear which does the same job as a new one at a fraction of the price.

Same working day shipping or free collection (West Berkshire).

About Vinyl Valhalla: We collect vintage, rare & obscure vinyl, instruments, amps, tapes, CDs & memorabilia, and find good new homes. We aren't dealers and don’t sell new, or grade vinyl Mint or Near Mint. If you want like new, don’t buy from us. We also don’t sell below VG - our vinyl is Very Good to Very Good + with some EX. That means decent quality, visually checked & reasonable prices. Occasionally you’ll see something special higher or lower.

Please check vinyl pictures before buying. We do not play test so if you don't agree with the grade, then don't buy.

We don’t usually set up guitars and basses or add new strings - strings and action are personal preferences. That keeps our costs to you down. Restoration guitars are all SOLD AS SEEN as they may need additional work.

Also, if you are in the UK and thinking about buying a new Guitar or an amplifier, most of these are made in Asia and involve hardwoods in their construction. Then they are shipped across the world to the UK. Think about the construction and shipping carbon footprint and environmental impact of buying new, compared to a Vintage used equivalent.

If Vintage is your thing, great – we’re on the same wavelength.
