It's summer season at New England's Wentworth Plaza Hotel. And that means it's time for the rich to come out to play... and for gold diggers of every persuasion to try to reel in a sucker or two.

Dick Powell heads the cast of this musical romp, playing a desk clerk who agrees to be a gentlemanly escort for the sheltered daughter (Gloria Stuart) of a wealthy widow. Repeat Screenwriting 101 class if you can't see where that leads. Besides, the real story is who's behind the camera: Busby Berkeley, going solo for the first time and rising to the occasion with a stunner of a sequence set to the Academy Award-winning Lullaby of Broadway hottie, and crane-shot and precision-danced into legend. No matter how many times you watch, it dazzles, delights and haunts.
