LRV stands for Landelijke Rijverenigingen en van het Belgisch Warmbloedpaard (National Riding Associations and of the Belgian Warmblood Horse). LRV organizes equestrian tournaments, rider or amazon competitions especially during summertime : dressage, individually and in groups, jumping, eventing, driving, harness horses G-riding and even pony games. LRV was founded in 1937 . The National Riding Associations wants to provide a 'useful and healthy pastime'. The farm horses that are used as workhorses during the week are taken along as 'sports horses' on Sundays. The first event took place in Boezinge on July 3, 1938.
