Very nifty antique "textbook" slate boards measures approximately 11" by 8" (9" by 6" writable surface). These were indispensable schoolhouse tools at a time when paper was more of a commodity than today. This one has survived in remarkable shape!
No cracks in the slate or wood. "Binding" is worn but surprising stable Name in pencil of previous user on wood.
