This rare vintage Angel decoration features a spun cotton head with hand painted facial features. She also has delicate Tulle wings and dress that are highlighted with silver glitter. Her arms and collar are made of Chenille stems.
In each hand She holds a composite candle with a silver glass bead at the bottom. She has yellow curly chenille stem hair that is topped with a halo made of small silver beads. She has a long chenille stem at the back that can be used to attach her to whatever you wish. There is a paper tag attached to this chenille stem that reads Made in Japan.
She came to me in the laid-out
position shown in the pictures. In this
pose she measures 5 1/2"” side to side by 5 1/2" top to bottom by
almost 3” in depth as she lays down. To
give more perspective of her side, her head measures 1 1/8” in diameter. She is marvelous but does have a few flaws:
the red tips of her candles have some chips, the netting at the top left above
her head has a small tear and her eyebrows and lashes have faded a bit over
time. Even with that, she is in very
good condition for her age. (#46, sbr)
Please examine all photos as
they are as important to the description of this item as the words that are
written about the item. Photos of ornaments always include a photo of 4 sides plus the top and bottom and may also include any special features of the ornament. Supersize them
while you are examining the photos.
Please remember that vintage ornaments are usually from 40 to 80 years old. All have been used and are thus probably not going to be in perfect condition. All are subject to some surface scratches, flaking to the paint, crazing of paint, age spots, oxidation, silvering loss, nicks around or under caps, may have tarnish / discoloration to metal caps, and some may not have the original caps. These are all signs of age ~ commonly called age patina.

Delivery confirmation is always included. I also combine multiple items in shipping whenever possible - just let me know that you are planning to bid on additional items. Shipping should be quoted at the top except for items weighing over 1 lb., then there should be a shipping calculator for your use - if not, please e-mail for shipping information. My goal is always to ship within 1 business day. I sometimes mail on Saturdays, but that is one of the days that I am going to estate auctions & sales, etc. to get more items for my buyers. Condition of Items: I am out shopping constantly to bring you the best vintage holiday items I can find. Please keep in mind that vintage/antique items are OLD ~ 50
to 100+ years old. Thus, they will
probably NOT be perfect. They may have
paint loss, glitter loss, mica loss, dents, bumps, scratches. They have usually all been used in the past
and thus have the patina of age and use. As with all my auctions there plenty of pictures for judging coloring
and condition - remember to supersize them for your best view ~ they are part
of the description. Because they are
items from bygone days, I cannot guarantee that they are from a smoke free or
pet free environment. Every effort has
been made to describe the item as accurately as possible. I urge bidders to
examine all photos and descriptions carefully and to e-mail me with any
questions, concerns, or clarifications prior to the end of auction. If I have
made a mistake, refund is for item price not postage.
Returns: Returns are accepted only if I have grossly misrepresented
the item. Refunds are for the cost of
the item only. Return postage paid by
the buyer.
International bidders: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyers responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts- US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.
