This is a sterling silver necklace with crystal and mother of pearl with pendant with moonstone and amethyst . The necklace is about 17 3/4" long. The necklace has a lobster claw closure. The earrings are for pierced ears with mother of pearl and crystal and are about from the top of the hooks 2 1/8" x 13/16".

MOTHER OF PEARL

Mother of pearl is producted by molluscs, mussels, oysters and abalone by producing a secretion called nacre which lines its inner shell. It is iridescent and strong. It is used in ornaments and jewelry.

Avoid harsh chemicals , perfumes and certain soaps which can damage the mother of pearl. Remove when doing housework and cooking. Clean with a soft or jewelry cloth. Store separately from other jewelry in a soft cotton bag out of direct sunlight.
