Interesting book from 1876 titled Archdeacon's Kitchen Cabinet Book of Receipts. Rich kelly green cover with gold lettering. 548 pages.

Hardcover in very good condition with just some wear to the edge of the binding top and bottom and a few small scuffs on the hard covers. Corners are slightly bumped. Gold is a bit worn in places. Beautiful front and back cover shows a facsimile of the medals the author received for his work. Back 2 pages has some very faint writing in pencil.

Receipt book is mainly for the manufacture of jellies pickles and other sauces. Also for the canning of all kinds of fruit meat vegetables and fish, etc. Overall in excellent condition especially for its age. Also chapters on scouring, dietetic and medical conditions.
