Press Photo State Agriculture Stabilization chief Henry Marshall in Texas

This is an original press photo. The case of Henry Marshall who was shot June 3, 1961 on his farm near Franklin, northwest of Bryan, Texas, has been ordered probed by a grand jury. Marshall was chief of production adjustment for the State Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Office. Marshall had been probing into Billie Sol Estes' dealings in cotton allotments. His death had been ruled a suicide by local authorities. District Judge John M. Barron ordered the probe yesterday "to clear the cloud connecting this with the Billie Sol Estes case - if there is any connection." Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated --NONE.
