A rare for oyster plates collectors piece. This antique Oyster Plate was made by PORTIEUX opaline glass workshop, one of the most famous France's opaline glass manufactures.
It is made of white opaline glass and is featuring 6 wells for oysters, shaped in shell shape and center well for sauce or lemon. The borders of the plate and areas surrounding the wells is decorated with hand-painted ornament on reddish brown colour. The plate is signed 'Portieux' and 'Depose'.
This plate is featured in 'Oyster Plates' guide by Jim and Vivian Karsnitz.

Condition: Perfect antique condition. Tiny areas of paint wear off. No chips cracks and repairs. Please see the photos for details.
