Let's talk about this fly rod:  A lovely, custom-built RL Troutman Authentic Sewell N. Dunton bamboo fly rod built by hand from Andy Rewa blank, made in the Dunton shop.  Sewell Dunton bought the equipment and inventory when Montague went out of business.  He ran his own shop for a few years then sold to Thomas & Thomas.  This rod measures at 7' - 6" in length, two sections with an extra tip.  Our blank comes from a trusted supplier in New England, and was inspected for straightness, etc.  We finished this blank in a velvety-smooth "French" finish by applying four coats of Tru-oil and polishing with jeweler's rouge after each coating.  All parts are new, custom built by hand.  This hand-built rod features close-whipped Rice's "Granger Tan" silk wrappings throughout with wine tipping; top quality bronze finish "Snake" brand guides with an 8mm carbide stripping guide; hook keeper; winding check.  Ferrules are top quality nickel-silver tight-fitting that give a satisfying "pop" when separated; top grade cigar-style cork grip; reel is seated and secured with a down-locking cap & ring "wedding band" type of anodized aluminum set off with a lovely honey-tone Spanish cedar spacer.  Line weight designation #4-weight, but casts well with a $5 weight also.  Action is medium fast; weighs approx. 4.0 oz.  Rod case included.  Rod will be properly packaged, insured and shipped by reliable carrier.  This rod was made by award-winning author, Richard Landerman, writer of fly-fishing stories.  Comparable brand name rods of this class sell these days for upwards of $700 -1000.  It can be yours for much less.  It's more than a wall hanger:  if you have a hankering to fish with it you will be pleasantly surprised at how accurately it casts and how it can handle nymphs as well as delicate dries and small streamers.  From trout to panfish to smallmouth bass, this rod will serve the purpose for which it was intended - to be fished for years to come and then passed down to succeeding generations!  FREE signed copy of Mr. Landerman.s book THE FLY ROD PROSPECTOR included.  NOTE:  offered is rod only, reel NOT included.
