You are looking at a fully branded 1:43 McLaren-Honda MP4/5B resin model of Three-Time Formula 1 World Champion Ayrton Senna - made by resin and diecast German model manufacturer Minichamps (Product Code: 547 904227).

The 1990 F1 season saw Ayrton Senna once again battle for the title with his bitter rival and former McLaren teammate Alain Prost, who had made the switch to the Ferrari team for the 1990 season after the fallout of the 1989 season, particularly their coming together at the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix which led to Alain's title success.  Their season long duel would end at the same track they collided in, with history repeating itself at the first corner at the start, when Senna intentionally took out Prost after the Frenchman got the better start off the front row, meaning Senna won his second of three F1 titles, albeit in highly controversial circumstances

During the 1990 season, Ayrton scored a total of six wins and eleven podium finishes which counted towards his eleven best results over a season at the time (a system employed by F1 which was in its final season in 1990 before every race and points scored counted towards the championship from 1991 to present) for a total of 78 points.  The third of his six wins came at the 1990 Canadian Grand Prix, which came after the Brazilian finished second on the road to his teammate Gerhard Berger, only for the Austrian driver to be hit with a one-minute penalty for jumping the start, handing the win to Senna.

The model features Ayrton's McLaren-Honda MP4/5B as it ran at the 1990 Canadian Grand Prix.  It comes with the full Marlboro tobacco branding the team ran with at that race (decals supplied by Minichamps), which have been applied by myself onto the model.

The model and lid are both in new condition.

Thanks for looking :)
