Beware of exorbitantly priced, cheap pirate cassette tapes that are in abundance on e-Bay - Thomsun/Thomsun Original or (Thomson, as some sellers label them) from Dubai, 747, Pyramid and IMD from Saudi Arabia, GMR, RC and GS from Singapore and similar weird brands with strange logos from Malaysia and Thailand. Some sellers falsely state that these are made in the UK or in Japan. These cassettes are either copied from a legal cassette, cd or LP release, another pirate copy or downloaded from the internet. They do not normally carry the legal declaration either on the cassette shell and or on the j-card and many of them have the tracks re-arranged so that they are not in the same order as the genuine cassette album. Some tracks may also be shortened at the beginning and or at the end in order to accommodate all the tracks onto a standard cassette tape. The shoddy printing on the j-card is the first dead giveaway. Labels may be verified on Discogs. Some sellers in their attempt to deceive e-Bay and buyers, do not upload any images while others only show the front picture or blurred images and do not state the label or country of manufacture. Illegal cassettes are not allowed on e-Bay so by their being there, you are misled into purchasing these pirate cassettes and you are legally entitled to a full refund plus the cost of postage for return of the cassette. E-Bay also has a responsibility to filter out the counterfeits and a legal obligation to refund the buyer and take action against the seller of the pirate item. Help stop piracy and prevent the sellers of these products from profiting from you. The photos you see are actual photos of the item you will receive, unlike stock photos provided by some sellers while some others again post a scenery or suggest that you request an image. So, take a good look and bid without hesitation. However, you are always free to ask if anything does not look quite right or if something does happen to sound a little confusing. I do not believe in random play tests or a five minute play test because such tests do not prove that the remainder of the tape will play. My cassettes are fully play tested and digital copies are made and stored for at least 35 days from the last estimated delivery date. Finally, a "Proof of Posting" is obtained from the Post Office for all of my mailings. CASSETTE GRADING:

Mint (M): J-Card is crisp, clean and perfect in every way. Likely sealed. Cassette is brand new, and professionally produced. Used sparingly as a grade, should be free of even the slightest blemishes and/or defects. This grade should be used sparingly, if at all. Standard Jewel Cases are not graded as they are replaceable

Near Mint (NM or M-): Sleeve should be totally crisp and clean with only the slightest evidence of handling. Tape is likely new, free of any wear or damage. Standard Jewel Cases are not graded as they are replaceable

Very Good Plus (VG+): Sleeve has slight wear, marks, indentations, and/or may possibly have a cut-out hole (or similar). Tape has been taken very good care of and may have light marks or spindle wear. Should play cleanly with minimal noise or degradation. Standard Jewel Cases are not graded as they are replaceable

Very Good (VG): Sleeve will contain more wear, marks, and/or indentations than a VG+. May have slight fading, a small tear/rip, or some writing. Shell may have heavier marks and wear than VG including plastic discoloration. Should play with some stronger hiss or degradation, but not enough to overpower music. Standard Jewel Cases are not graded as they are replaceable

Good (G), Good Plus (G+): Sleeve will be well worn, marked, and contain obvious indentations, fading, and/or writing, more so than a VG grade - possibly a more significant tear/rip. Tape will have heavy wear on shell. Felt stopper may be missing. Tape may have minor creasing, but not broken. Must play through, may have heavier degradation that will overpower music. Standard Jewel Cases are not graded as they are replaceable

Poor (P), Fair (F): Sleeve will be torn, heavily stained, showing general heavy damage, or will be partially missing. Likewise, tape will be heavily damaged, showing complete fading on the face, crinkled tape, missing screws or teeth, staining, and other heavy wear. Cassette will more than likely not play through.  Standard Jewel Cases are not graded as they are replaceable
