Circa 1876 13-star Centennial Medallion Parade Flag.  Around 1876, America was celebrating its Centennial and flag production took off as American saw the flag as a symbol of patriotism.  The flag became a symbol of all that Americans stood for and the spirit of freedom that built this country.

Made of starched muslin with print dye.  Parade Flags like this are a piece of American history as they were produced on a roll, printed on one side, attached to wooden sticks using adhesive, and then shipped to Hardware and General Stores in packages of 12, which would sell to the general public for ceremonies.
