I saw this exquisite spoon and had my own notion of what it was. These kinds of spoons were common in the 1960s. I was drawn to the spoon for the natural blue gem turquoise, and how well this was made, and for me this is like a piece of the era of folks who are a certain age. But for all I know, what I think this spoon was used for is not what it was intended for. Maybe it was a dauber for oil or perfume. Maybe it was a salt spoon or sugar spoon. To me, it was a piece of a past that I grew up with, but maybe you grew up with a different past. So give this small spoon as a gift to someone who got through that era of snuff spoons and lived to tell about it. Or give it to the spoon collector and make it a part of a varied spoon collection. No matter what you see and how you think about it, it's a unique piece of history.
