There was an advertisement/demo movie called "Wally Wins His Wings" that was run on KTTV channel 5 in L.A. at the time, and copies were loaned out to Hobby Clubs, Boy Scouts, and anyone that wanted to show the film. The storyline was that of a young "Wally" and his father, and how he earned his wings. It was to be kinda like a merit badge thing, and when one completed a solo flight with a Cox plan, you would get a free set of wings from the Hobby Shop that sold you the plane. The film used the crew from the Disneyland flight circle (Kieth Palmer, George Molitor, Lee Heinly), and included showing Wally how to fly at the L.A. County Fair in Pamona with George and Lee. (Disney did not allow filming at the Park, so they used the show in Pamona.) Later, the crew at Disneyland also wore the wings as part of the uniform"(1955-1965) BACKSTORY: Young pilots gave demonstrations of U-control aircraft hourly, doing some fancy flying and teaching others how to fly. Leroy Cox managed quite an advertising coup when he got his aircraft and employees chosen for these demos, seen by hundreds of thousands of Disneyland guests. The "Flight Circle" had operated initially by flying club members and then by the Wen-Mac company, but Cox's reputation as a more reliable manufacturer got them into the premium Tomorrowland space starting in the summer of 1958 until it closed in 1965. The young flyers would sometimes fly two or three aircraft at a time or bring people from the crowd in to try their hand at flying Cox aircraft. Tether cars ran in circles and powered boats also ran in a pond.  Overall condition VERY good. There is a typical and expected light wear overall but no damage present as shown.
