This auction is for an all original, highly desirable and seldom seen 1912 prewar Lionel No. 6 Standard Gauge 4-4-0 PRR Steam Locomotive in overall Very Good (+) (C6-C7) condition. Based on information contained in Bruce Greenberg's latest 2014 Standard Gauge reference book, this early steam locomotive was manufactured by Lionel in 1912. According to Greenberg, this limited production variation features the following:

- Large bell
- Cowling below cab does not cover reverse mechanism
- Long pilot
- Type 2 front end
- Two-piece front bracket
- Eleven field lamination
- Type 2 motor
- One frame with two axles
- Rear two-piece bracket
- Type 1 reverse unit with two red fiber discs
- Long crinkle hook coupler
- Boiler Front nut with cross-hatched knurling
- Replacement 6L-74 front pilot truck

The locomotive ran when tested plus the reverse unit operated in both forward and reverse directions. This all original and undamaged locomotive is complete with signs of handling and play wear. Carefully examine the detailed photographs provided to affirm completeness and condition then bid accordingly.
