For your consideration is a rare Matthew Buechner, art glass paperweight/pen holder.  It  measures approximately 3 1/4 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The paperweight is designed with a large embossed black widow spider on the top.  The body is black with a red dot on its back.   It is on a bumpy, clear reflective crackle glass surface. There is a ball within a ball. A hole is at the top.  It can be used as a pen holder, fill it with water and add a flower or possibly it could be an oil lamp. The bottom is signed Vitrix Studio 1980, M Buechner   The artist has been featured in the Corning Museum of Art.    The paperweight is in great condition without chips or cracks.  This is an unusual find and would make a delightful gift for a collector. I have a similar paperweight without the hole listed.

Buyer will be responsible for the fee to mail the item.   Please take time to check my eBay site for more spider related art glass.  I have hundreds of studio art glass paperweights, perfume bottles and vases listed on my site and many of my items are on SALE.  Thank you.
