Durante le cambiate veloci alla ricerca del passo più agile con la corona più piccola anteriore, soprattutto quando il deragliatore non è regolato perfettamente, la catena può cadere sul movimento centrale. Questa fascetta fissata sul tubo verticale fa da guida alla catena che rimbalzando contro non la fa uscire e quindi cadere.
During fast shifting looking for the quicker step with the front smaller chainring, in particular when the front feraileur isn't perfectly adjusted, the chain can fall down on the bottom bracket. This small band on the vertical tube is a guide for the chain, whom bouncing off doesn't fall down.
