1956 Press Photo Former Prisoners of War Arley Pate, Aaron Wilson in Seattle

This is an original press photo. Seattle: Two former U.S. soldiers who were captured by Chinese Reds early in the Korean war and later refused repatriation pose reluctantly and silently after their arrival here by air from Hong Kong last night. They are Arley Pate, 26, Carbondale, Illinois, and Aaron Wilson, 24, Urania, Louisiana, right. They said they changed their minds about staying in China recently and were en route to their homes today. Nineteen others refused repatriation at the same time in 1953. Four others have returned. One died in China. Fourteen still remain behind the Bamboo Curtain. Prisoner of War, TurncoatsPhoto measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 12-06-1956.
