Edition of 1680 of this republishing edited by Carlo Porsile of three famous works about the city of Naples almost unfoundable even in that period.
Our copy lacks of the title page and the first 8 page of dedication.
The first work "Croniche de la inclita città de Napole" falsely attributed to Giovanni Villani was originally published inl 1526. He tells about hystorical events of the city from the origins to 1343. Our copy has the mark of mermaid at the end of the first work not present in al copies.
The second work originally published in 1569 by Luigi Contarini, describes the artistic beauties of Rome and Naples.
The third work describes the main antiquities of Naples. It was written by Benedetto di Falco (1480-1540) and was originally published in 1535.
In good conditions.
Half leather cover of XIX century with gilted title in the spine in poor general conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Front palte almost detached and back plate detached. Binding in good conditions apart for the first two pages almost totally detached. Inside pages are in good conditions with occasional foxing. Title page and first eight pages of dedication missing as also page 9 of the last work. In 8. Dim. 19,5x15 cm. Pp. 120+(8)+92+(5)+170+(2)+64
