Chinese Turquoise Glaze Zun Vase Song Yuan or Ming Dynasty 34cm

This listing is for an antique Chinese Zun from vase, decorated with turquoise monochrome glaze.

Antique Chinese Monochrome glazed vases like this come alive in the sun, but unfortunately, its very hard to capture in photographs.

This is a very old vase.   It was made in the Song, Yuan or Ming Dynasty.

Excellent provenance.   We acquired this vase from the estate of Arthur Erickson, and its been in our collection since.    Mr. Erickson was a famous architect who lived in Vancouver, and died in 2009.    He designed numerous cutting edge buildings, including the Canadian Embassy in Washington DC.

This vase is in good condition for its age.    Some flaking and chipping to the glaze, mostly around the footrim base and mouth rim, as you can see in the photographs, otherwise very good - no cracks, no repairs.

It is about 12 3/4 inches or about 34.3 cm tall.

It weighs about 3.005kg.

Very nice example.
