Before being exhibited, it was reupholstered in March 2024 at

a long-established koto workshop, which has been in business for

over 40 years, with 6 strings of Tokiwa's specially selected thread,

which is now rare and precious.
The president of the long-established koto workshop said,

“I have never seen such a magnificent koto!”
It is a rare and valuable koto.
The word "once in a lifetime" fits this koto perfectly.

Condition:
The Ryukou has no trace of kotobashira attachment at all.
There are no signs of wear, as one would expect from a dedicated

Maki-e (gold-relief lacquer) also remains.
