Immerse yourself in the soulful jazz music of Nina Simone with "The Great Show Of Nina Simone - Live In Paris" cassette tape (1976 on Musidisc catalogue 330 874). This vintage cassette tape features a live recording of the legendary artist's performance actually recorded June 16, 1968 at the 2nd Jazz Festival, Montreux (CH) and reissued through the 1970s and '80s with different titles (often mis-credited) and in abridged editions. This version is a truncated version of the ones issued on vinyl, but is quite rare. It features Nina Simone piano, vocals with the following musicians Henry Young guitar - Buck Clarke drums - Gene Taylor bass - Sam Waymon organ, vocals - with some great tracks (see pictures for track listing). My brother bought this in France and has had it for a number of years, but is selling his collection (not having a tape player any more), so I've play tested it 100% to make sure it's ok. The sound is Good to Very Good- I say that because there's some slight wobble I can hear on one track, it's difficult to tell if it's due to the live recording or the tape, so I'll err on the side of caution.  The tape comes in a standard jewel case which is in reasonable condition - Fair - scuffs and light scratches due to handling. The inlay card is in Very Good Plus condition but limited in terms of the information it gives apart from the track listing. Overall the cassette package is Good to Very Good taking into account the cassette sound, case and inlay., so the pricing reflects that and the rarity value.
