VINTAGE 1970'S KALAGA BAG TAPESTRY EMBROIDERED 70'S BEADS SEQUINS  BOHO HIPPY

Soft, unstructured rare vintage Kalaga Burmese / Thai  bag c 1970s

velveteen base, heavily embellished with beads, cord and metallic sequins

Padded, sequinned, beaded Horse in the centre of the tapestry panel on both sides

Mustard cotton fringe woven with gold metallic threads hangs 8" on either end

Soft Strap - 34” long X 5" wide

Open at top - no closure

Fully lined in white gauze

This stunning bag is in a good vintage condition.

It had been used and the Gauze lining is marked.

A few of the small sequins are missing (difficult to say exactly, perhaps around 5-10). This is unnoticed as the bag is heavily embellished.

One of the large glass beads (bottom row) has been replaced with a different glass bead but this is hardly noticed and the bag looks absolutely beautiful and unique.
