This product is an authentic handmade member ribbon from the Daughters of America organization, specifically from the Pride of Preston, Maryland Council #88.

The ribbon was manufactured by the Ward-Stilson, Co. once located in Anderson, Indiana, makers of lodge regalia. The company's trade catalogs are located in the National Museum of American History, Behring Center. 

Items made by the Ward-Stilson company are very rare, and this item is indeed a condition rarity.

This membership ribbon dates from the early 1920s and is a true item of Americana from the Council of the Daughters of America, a "patriotic fraternity, which seeks to aid in preserving and perpetuating the Public School system; to install a spirit of patriotism into the youth of our land; to place our the American flag over every schoolhouse; and to promote the reading of the Holy Bible therein;"
