First edition of 1817 of this interesting work written by Filippo Pananti (1776-1837) italian poet.
Pananti due to his liberal ideas was forced to leave Italy to go in England and France. During a sea travel from England to sardinian coasts was kidnapped by pirates and treated as a slave in Algeri.
Thanks to a britain representative he was released, leaving a detailed resuming in this writing. The work is very interesting for usages and customs of Algeria Berbera was published different times during XIX century.

In fair conditions but complete.
Half leather coeval cover with rich golden title and decorations in the spine in good general conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Binding in good conditions but light crack in the title page and the first 30 pages almost detached. Inside pages are in good conditions with foxing and light dump stains. Restauration in the last page. In 8. cm 19,5x13. Pp. 318+(6)
