Selling here is 'The Works of Horace..', printed in London, 1715. Text in Latin. A good clean copy overall in a period binding.
12mo, bound in late 18th/early 19th century half calf over marbled boards, gilt ruled compartments to spine, period red morocco label gilt lettered. Period plain endpapers, bookplate to upper pastedown. Later plain endpapers.
The book measures 9cm by 14.5cm.
The contents are complete, meeting collation: [44], 233, [327] pp with engraved frontispiece and woodcut head/tail pieces and initials.

Condition: Binding firm with no cracks to hinges, general wear and scuffing to surface and edges. Contents are firmly bound, some moderate toning, scattered spots, smudges and marks from handling, light water stain appearing round top edge at points through much of block: frontis with old ink ownership to blank recto, title with late c18 owners name inked above imprint: the odd old ink annotation or marking found at points through the text and a few late examples in pencil.
