In 1966 the Princess Grace of Monaco had a visit to the Gucci store in Milan with Prince Ranier. She chose a green "bamboo bag" and Rodolfo Gucci wished to present her with a gift. She needed a scarf but Rodolfo could not find a scarf that would be beautiful enough for the graceful lady. He immediately contacted the prestigious illustrator Vittorio Accornero to design the most beautiful flora scarf. The next day the great masterpiece was born. It was the "Flora", a multicolored flowered template that was destined for an unimaginably extended future.
More than forty years has passed, the Gucci icon still emit an extraordinary splendor in the fashion world. |
