A refined and simplified version of the 1927 manual model. 

Two pairs of superimposed eccentrics  enable an endless variety of complex and intriguing pattens to be drawn using standard Meccano gears, with a whole new level attainable using vintage gears.

Requires a few non-Meccano parts including a ~300rpm gearmotor and an easily fabricated drawing-surface.
