If you're standing up, looking down  at the bag on the zipper is on the right side. If you're laying in it, it would be on the left side.

Absolutely no snags, tears, or holes.

The storage case does have a couple of small stains on the straps that might come out with a quick wash. The sleeping bag does not have any stains.
