Here is a complete 5 volume set providing a comprehensive view of the world of science in the late 19th century. The compendium of articles was put together by Robert Brown and published by Cassel and Co. of London, Paris, and NY. It is undated but is believed to be from 1890.

Each volume contains exactly 384 pages of approximately 60 articles. Each contains one color illustration and over 200 black and white. The covers are embossed boards with gold lettering. They show very minor scuffing and corner bumps. A previous owner's name is neatly stamped on all front endpapers. Volume V has an index to all 5 volumes in the back.
