In its 1961 advertisement dubbed "Memo to a smart woman", Trifari advises to "circle your choice and slip this page into his pocket".

The updated "memo", for today's woman is: forget about dropping hints to your "significan other", just get the jewelry of your dreams yourself!

Here is one such dreamy demi, featured in the 1961 ad — a glitzy shades of purple bracelet and earrings set. The pieces appear in the ad, in different colors (shades of blue and gray). The ad does not say it, but I've seen some references online that call this design "Radiance".

The design showcases a pattern of fine florets and leaves depicted in monochromatic hues. Our set has deep purple and lavender (or pale purple); the ad shows color combinations in shades of gray, blue, topaz, green and red.

The set uses a combination of round and navette crystals. The tiny florets are made up of all round purple crystals. The metal backdrop is shiny silvertone.

The bracelet has a bottom layer of alternating florets and leaves, made of a combination of lavender and deep purple crystals. It has a top layer of purple florets sitting atop the leaves portions. The bracelet measures 7 1/4" x 5/8". It has a foldover clasp topped with a purple baguette crystal.

Each earring has a graceful swirl of navette leaves on the bottom layer, with a floret sitting on top. The navettes have alternating purple and lavender hues. The earrings are 1 1/4" tall and 1" wide. They are clipbacks.

All pieces are marked Trifari. The bracelet clasp is marked at the base, and the earrings, on the clipbacks.

In overall good to very good condition. All the stones are intact and glitzy, though some have wear to the foil backs because portions of the stones look darker (shows especially in some lavender crystals). Still, this does not seem to affect the beauty of the design; just lends some gradation of the shades of purple. The silvertone metal is in great shape, shiny and bright.
