We are pleased to offer this adorable hand painted American Art Pottery circus ELEPHANT planter most likely manufactured by American Bisque, Shawnee or Hull circa 1940s. He would look so cute in a baby's nursery and would make a perfect baby shower gift. He would also be the perfect home for your favorite succulent plant.

His chartreuse green, cream and pink body is protected by a beautiful glossy glaze. He has brown eyes and red open mouth. He is wearing a blanket and hat with pompom. His trunk is up for good luck, and his face has the cutest smile - just as cute as Dumbo's. He measures 6" long from trunk to rear by 3-1/4" wide and stands 5-1/4" tall. The planter portion measures about 2" deep.

He has a chip under one of the totally dry feet with no wedges - not visible when resting on a table - very minor. Other than a few little craze lines from age; he is in excellent condition. The interior is just as clean as can be.  Just an adorable piece of vintage American Art Pottery that you are sure to want to add to your Elephant Figurine or Planter collection.
