Italian Florentine Porcelain Large 6-1/2" Round Ashtray w 22k Gold Roses _Italy
We are pleased to offer this lovely large and quite heavy hand made round porcelain ashtray manufactured in Italy at the original factory started by Carlo Ginori,
Florinentine Marquis, in 1735 in Sesto Fiorentino, Florence. This pedestal ashtray was distributed by importer J B Hirsch.
This footed ceramic ash receiver features a central 22k gold rose design surrounded by other gilded roses on the sides against a pure white background. It is decorated with vertical ridges/notches on the interior sides of the bowl. It has tapered sloping sides and 3 cigarette rests.
It measures 6-1/2" wide. Someone has put scotch tape around the edge of the foot to keep it from scratching a surface. It is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips, crazing or cracks. The gilt is strong and shows no wear. Just a beautiful and elegant piece of classical vintage Italian Florentine ceramics that you are sure to want to add to your collection.
