Smith, M.D.  Author-signed on the ffep.  No Copyright date, self-published by the Doctor in 1965 in New London Ohio.  Self-published by the author.  NOT Ex-Library.  No ISBN - there were none in those years. Note - the photos you see are of this volume - no 'Stock Photos'.

A clean, tight firm book in Very Good condition in scarlet/gilt-lettered hard boards, 8 3/4" x 5 3/4" x x 163 supple clean pages of splendid autobiographical history by a country doctor - a product of Mississippi, the Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, some other states and then a lifetime in New London, a small town in north central Ohio.

Signed on the ffep, just with the Doctor's name and "July 1 1965".  

An interesting note - to keep local professionals involved in World War II, Dr. Smith and others served in the U. S. Coast Guard, sailing the Great Lakes as a patrol.  There is a photo of Dr. Smith in his USCG uniform.  A remarkable find.  

A clean book.  A darkening to the front endpages from the two newspaper clippings, one of the Obituary, the other by the Doctor.  Those clippings remain laid in.  No other wear, No whitening, No looseness, No dogears, No mustiness, No smoke smell.  We do try to describe them correctly - We want you back as a customer - hundreds of repeat customers.   Splendid for the reader, historian, collector, author.  No markings.  No names beyond the author-signature, No Bookplates.  NOT Ex-library.  NOT Remainder-marked.
