A History of British Birds by the Rev F.O Morris
London: George Bell and Sons 1870

Size: 26cm x 19cm

A superb 6 volume set of Morris' British Birds, this being the large second edition. Bound in the original cloth binding and containing 365 colour plates showcasing the natural beauty of British birds. Collated and complete.

Condition:
The bindings with some wear to all edges and boards, with knocking and bumping to corners. A few spines knocked to head/tail, light sunning to a few boards,
Internally, usual toning some dust-soiling to gutters and with spotting in parts - majority of the plates very clean, along with the odd grubby mark. A few leaves still un-cut. Four plates loose, with one chipped to margin. Marking to block edges. Hinges cracked, heavier to a few, with some chords visible, but in the main, a decent set. Please see our images for further description.
