Tokai began manufacturing electric guitars in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture in 1977, and has long been a leader in Japan's electric guitar culture.
Because they are produced with an emphasis on quality over efficiency, they cannot be produced in large numbers, but due to their reliable construction, they have fans all over the world.

The LS144S that has arrived this time is a 1955/1956 model with a mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard with P90.
Glue is used for adhesion, and as it is a natural adhesive, it is suitable for adhering musical instruments and is expected to improve acoustic performance.
However, due to the difficulty of handling, this adhesive is only used in high-end models of other brands.
Tokai Musical Instruments, which emphasizes quality, uses that glue.
By applying it to the areas that are involved in the sound, such as the adhesion between the neck, fingerboard, and body, the sustain will be improved and the sound will be richer.

The pickup is equipped with LP-OLD MK2, and combined with the Tokai's solid neck and heavy body, it creates a light yet thick sound with a strong presence.
Above all, the crunch sound is wonderful and has an overwhelming sense of clarity.

As it is one of the few Les Paul-type models made in Japan, it is resistant to neck warping and can be used for a long time without being affected by Japan's climate.
