An Authentic Original

CASIO DIVER MD-526, GENTS WATCH

Exact year is not known. Estimated 2000-2009. This one looks to be in VGC so may be more recent and has been well looked after. 

 It has just been cleaned and a new battery fitted. It looks to be in good overall condition with only light wear from previous use.  Dial is Black with a black minutes ring. The watch is running strongly, keeps good time. Rated when new at +/- 20secs. per month. 

DIAL/HANDS:-  All in very good condition with clear readout. Signed Casio Quartz and Water Resistant 100m. and there is a date window at 3 o'clock. 

The hands are also in VGC and in the usual arrowed style. The hands are silver/steel outlined and the main hands and hour markers are lumed although it has faded a bit with age. The bezel rotates uni-directionally. Dial and Hands are about 95% as new .

CASE:- In good overall condition. Lightly polished and still has a  nice bright finish. There may be an odd light mark on the stainless steel screw down back case but nothing serious. The back has all the ID information and the company logo. All still generally crisp and clear. Case size is approx. 39mm plus the crown. Depth is 12mm. 

WATER RESISTANT:-  YES! This model, when new, was originally rated to 100Mt. The gaskets all seem fine and the watch will be good for everyday use. Depth and Pressure testing not carried out and diving is never recommended for a watch of this age, at least without full testing, so perhaps just enjoy it as a nice timepiece 

  

CROWN:-   Ridge edged, recessed, stainless steel crown and stem in VGC. 

           

CRYSTAL:-   The mineral glass crystal is in good clean and clear condition.

MOVEMENT:-  The original Japanese quartz movement is clean and running well.

  Battery life is 2 years from new. Runs accurately, keeping good time. 

 STRAP or BRACELET:- The stainless steel bracelet looks to be in VGC. Clasp foldover closure. Previous owner reduced size to fit and there are no extra links, although probably easy to obtain.  It fits my 7" wrist very tightly so please ensure your own wrist size before buying.

IN SUMMARY.

A nice CASIO DIVER wristwatch. Tested and working well.  It will be sent (usually next day) via Royal Mail's Tracked 48 service, unless Special Next Day is requested when paying.
