Faunus ater, commonly known as the Black Devil Snail, is a fascinating freshwater snail prized for its striking dark shell and algae-eating capabilities. These snails are hardy and adaptable, thriving in a variety of aquarium conditions. Perfect for aquarists looking to add a unique and beneficial member to their tank.

Water Parameters: Keep the water temperature between 70-82°F (21-28°C). Maintain a pH range of 7.0-8.0. Provide moderately hard water with a GH of 6-12 dGH and a KH of 3-8 dKH.

Feed: Offer a varied diet including algae wafers, blanched vegetables (such as zucchini, spinach, or cucumber), and sinking pellets. Occasional treats like boiled eggshells or cuttlebone can provide calcium for shell health.

Size: The maximum size of a Cappuccino Spike Rabbit Snail (Faunus ater) typically ranges from 2 to 2.5 inches (5 to 6.4 centimeters) in diameter when fully grown.

Substrate: Use fine-grained sand or gravel for substrate.

INSTRUCTIONS

Float the bag in your fishtank for 15 minutes, after 15 minutes open the bag and fishtank water to the content of the bag. Repeat the process 3 times, then introduce your fish or invertebrates into your aquarium. Do not pour the water from the bag into your aquarium, use a net instead.
