Atomic Age, describes the research and developments of the atomic age. The beginning of this era was marked by the first nuclear reactor “Chicago Pile-1” in December 1942. In the decades that followed, numerous further developments in nuclear technology took place, both in military and civilian areas. To this day, the use of atomic energy is of great importance and has set various milestones in the technological development of humanity.
The new Vostok Europe Atomic Age Series honors these technological developments. The Chrono series is Andrei Sakharov
dedicated to a Soviet nuclear physicist, dissident, Nobel Prize winner and activist for disarmament, peace and human rights. As the chief designer of Soviet thermonuclear weapons, Sakharov later became an advocate for civil liberties and civil reforms in the Soviet Union, for which he was subjected to state persecution. Despite all reprisals, he received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1975 for his efforts and commitment to human rights.
The watch design combines a unique techno-futuristic polygonal anatomical case with tritium lighting. The case consists of two metal parts that are attached with two rivets. The hands are brushed and skeletonized, the dials have a grain structure. Specially designed, brand new silicone bands with ventilation holes provide excellent comfort for everyday use.
Each copy comes in a red dry box, with tools for changing the bracelet and overall 2 bracelets (silicone and leather).
