Westone Thunder 2 electric bass guitar made in the Matsumoku factory in Japan in 1981. The Thunder 2 basses are quite rare and hard to find and this one is in the rare colour of Savannah Yellow.
It has a solid body of Canadian ash with a through body neck of maple and walnut, and with a twenty-four fret ebony fretboard with snowflake fret inlays. There are two split-coil Magnet F675 pickups with a three-way pickup selector switch. In addition there are three micro switches - phase, dual tone (series parallel) and active tone. The three knobs control the volume, and active and passive tone.
The nut is in brass as are the three knobs and the bridge, and the backplates are in anodised aluminium and show very minor scratches from use.
This bass guitar is in a superb condition and plays extremely well. It is a beautiful looking bass in a rare colour and is a very desirable model.
