Antique Miniature French Scent Bottle With Italian Silver Coin Decoration

This flat, rectangular shaped clear glass scent bottle was manufactured in France but decorated with two Roman coins joined with four decorative straps. The coin on the front has a raised image of the head of a Roman emperor and reads Imp Diocletianus Aug. The coin on the back has a raised image of Romulus and Remus suckling the she wolf, Lupa and the letters SHKA. The coins are slightly misshapen and have wavy rims in some areas. The screw on lid has a silver casing with a small, circular pattern which has a flat spot on one side which is how it was manufactured. There is a glass applicator attached to the inside of the lid.

This little scent bottle would make a great addition to any perfume bottle collection.
