This is a really lovely, World War Two Period Pocket Watch.

The watch has a black dial with white subsidiary seconds dial, which is not a very common combination for these watches.

To the rear it is stamped
GS/TP which is generally taken to stand for General Service Time Piece
with and arrow above an S, which confirms that it was military issue, and was sold out of service, probably to the last person to whom it was issued in service.
and the number 041717, which is an MOD stock number.

Inside it is stamped Swiss Made, with the number 258 in an oval.

The watch is 4.9 cm in diameter and weighs 84 g.

Very good antique condition, there is heavy wear to the nickel plating showing the brass beneath, numerous light scratches to the rear, the watch winds, ticks nicely, and keeps good time, the luminescence seems to have faded and no longer illuminates in darkness, the dial is lovely and clean.
