Rare Nota Type 4 UK Market sales/publicity brochure, information, specification sheet and price list which date from 1972

The Nota Type 4 was the British built and marketed version of the original Mini Cooper S powered Nota Fang, which was developed in Australia by Guy and Chris Buckingham of Nota Engineering, where it proved very successful selling over 100 road cars.

Guy came back to live in the UK in the early 1970's and worked with my uncle to develop and market the UK version. The demonstrator, EUD 517K, was driven/reviewed by Andy Anderson of Custom Car Magazine and Peter Filby, but the engine fitted was a bog standard 1100 or 1275 and did not give the expected performance.....also the fit and finish was not great as it was assembled quickly in a shed at my uncle's farm

Although I have all the original inquiry letters, I have no records of any confirmed sales of this unusual space-framed, mid-engined, lightweight sports car in the UK - and contrary to popular belief, it was not crushed by a bull, although it may have been gently nibbled by a few goats!

The brochure is from the original print run, printed on semi-gloss heavy paper and the information, specification and price lists are original copies that where sent out following postal or telephone enquiries for further information

The printed sheets are A4 size, but the brochure is slightly bigger and measures 22.5 cms wide
