Copperplate (Intaglio) - An original leaf from G. Bickham's Universal
Penman, intended to be a practical copy-book for the 'Man of Business.'
Bickham's engravings, which contributed to a revival of interest in
calligraphy, provide a record of the writing hands, ornamental
penmanship and calligraphy in use during the first half of the
eighteenth century.

- I received this print in
a very bad condition, similar to the ones from the same source, shown
in the last photo (These are NOT included in this offer). I had
this unique print cleaned in order to save it and prevent further
deterioration.
- Few very light spots within the text portion of the print.
- Finger smudges mostly in lower right corner.
- Few minor tears at the edges.
- Dimensions: 9 x 15 inches (23 x 38 cm) including blank margins (borders) around the images.
- Paper weight: 3 (1. Thick - 2. Heavier - 3. Medium heavy - 4. Slightly heavier - 5. Thin)
- Reverse side: Blank
- Note:
1. Green color around the print in the photo is a contrasting background
on which the print was photographed.
