This listing is for a professionally restored, Jefferson Golden Hour Mystery Clock.  The clock runs accurately and quietly and makes a beautiful and intriguing display in your home or office.

Our clocks can be customized with a few different color options for the hands and numbers as shown in the photos (black, white and Navy blue). The regular colors are available at no extra charge, however the Glow-in-the-Dark option is at a higher cost due to the significant extra labor and materials required.

Who is Bugsy's Dad Enterprises?

We are sure that many interested customers wonder about our little business’ name. We are a small, disabled veteran-owned business located in the Berkshire Mountain region of Western Massachusetts.  Our small, home-based shop is well-equipped with professional, specialized tools for clock repairs and industrial-grade supplies such as paint, metal sealants/protectors, and adhesives. We have invested in these tools and materials, despite their cost, to produce the highest quality product possible.

Bugsy is our resident ambassador of the Felis Catus clan (family Felidae), who 'assists' Dad with his work on these clocks, in addition to his normal duties of running the home. We ship no clock without Bugsy’s final inspection and approval, consisting of sniffing and head bunting (yes, that is really the name of those cute, kitty head-bumps) the shipping box before it’s sealed. Customers that also share their abode with one (or more) of these friendly, furry critters will appreciate the extra assistance they provide with many household activities. The Owner's Package we ship with each clock contains some feline humor that will be appreciated by all lovers of these furry children.

Our Business

Jefferson Clock sales and restoration is our only line of business. We do not deal in yard or garage sale "finds" often seen listed after a quick exterior cleaning. All clocks that we sell, or repair have been fully serviced in our shop to the high standards required by the ancient art of clock-making. We are very proud to have international customers who have had their clocks converted to the standard European (and other areas) 220 volt / 50 hz household current. To our knowledge, we are the only company in North America to offer this conversion service.

Clock Preparation and Shipping Times

Due to the variety of our options and other production or quality factors, it is not technically possible to have clocks ready for immediate shipment like other consumer products that can be held in bulk inventory. The clocks you purchase are assembled, finished, and tested by hand, one at a time, just as they were originally made in the Jefferson factory, that used little or no automation.

These factors, taken together, require a normal delivery time of 3-4 calendar weeks following purchase. This, of course, depends largely on our order backlog at the time of your purchase. In comparison, purely mechanical (wind-up) clocks or watches often take months to repair in a specialized repair shop. We are committed to avoiding time-saving, unprofessional shortcuts in the preparation of your Jefferson Clock, every step of our process is performed scrupulously to meet our high standards. This occasionally results in a full 'redo' of that step.  We are not ‘parts changers’ that work on the Golden hour in piecemeal fashion, such as glass replacement only. This practice of full-service permits us financially to provide our work with 90-day warranties. Additional time is required to administer Bugsy's Dad Enterprises business procedures, over and above working on the clocks alone. A file is created for each customer that contains important information needed to ensure order accuracy and customization instructions.  We take and process high quality photos of all clocks prior to shipping, a time-consuming practice on it's own.  A small booklet is created and customized for that customer with photos, operating instructions, and our signed 90-day warranty. The process of packing the clock for shipping has been ‘perfected’ to virtually eliminate shipping damage.

As you can see, a lot of time and effort goes into the "behind the scenes" administrative operation of our shop, that spares few expenses in our pursuit of quality, that our wonderful customers deserve.

We sincerely hope that you will see that we offer services in this market that are unlike any other.  Our services are provided at prices that are highly competitive with other listings of clocks that are in poor condition and may or may not be in accurate working order.  We invite you to look through our feedback and reviews, that reflect our commitment to quality and customer service.

Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have, using the contact seller features on the listing page.  We hope that you will see our difference and decide to purchase one of our beautiful Golden Hour clocks.

Thank You-and feel free to contact us with ANY questions you may have.

Cheers !!
