‘All British Made’, excellently restored, Enfield Movement and retailed by Dubros Store clock, this beautiful clock features an oak Case in Napoleon-hat shape equipped with an early Enfield bronze two trains 8-day striking movement. It has just been fully restored: case polished and waxed, movement completely overhauled ultrasonically, and worn bushed replaced. It is now presented in fantastic antique condition and in GWO.

Dupontic was one of the trade names used by Enfield Clock Co. Dubros Stores was a department store which was in business in England before the war, they had the clocks made for them by Enfield. This clock is a rare clock of that period as it was 'All British' Made, dated to be in late 1930s.

This Napoleon-hat case, exhibiting attractive carves, is made of oak veneer, with a 6-inch bezel door (polished, due to tarnish) fitted with the original convex glass to protect the silvered dial inside. The dial has slim Arabic numerals for the hours, and the time is pointed by a pair of black, blade-shaped steel hour and minute hands, which make the reading rather easy. At the top of the dial, Dupontic is printed, and ‘British Made …’ is printed at the opposite 6 O’clock position. The original matching labels and instructions are still intact while carrying out the restore, which allows the identification of the origin of the clock. The case has just been polished, cleaned, and waxed. The convex glass, the dial and the chromed-bezel are all in very good antique condition. It will add something special to your living room, with the lovely patina.

The movement has been completely reassembled, examined, repaired (replaced worn bushes), ultrasonically cleaned and oiled, as usual to all my clocks. It is now in fantastic working order, keeping time well. The clock strikes on the half and full hours via a gong on a steel stand. It could be either 8 days or 14 days (Sorry I really unable to follow and count each of every of my clocks that are running on every flat surfaces).

All clocks I sell are fully tested for weeks and come with a working winding key and pendulum. In this case, it comes with a vintage brass/steel key and a gilded brass pendulum.

The clock measures 38 cm (16 inch) wide, 23 cm (9 inch) tall and 15 cm (5 inch) deep, comfortably sitting on any fireplace.

Please look at the pictures carefully, which form an essential part of the description.

I will pack the clock as careful as possible to make sure it arrives safely. In the case the clock is damaged during the shipment (Shit happens), I will either repair it for you or offer full refund without any hesitation, or partial refund if you wish to fix it yourself.
