1836 SILVER PAIR CASED MASSEY 111 FUSEE POCKET WATCH J TEDBURY LIVERPOOL WORKING

Antique Circa 1836 silver pair cased fusee Massey 3 Doctors pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white / cream enamel with black Roman numerals and gold-coloured hands with sub-dial with stopwatch function. The movement is a chain driven fusee with a Massey 111 lever escapement and diamond end-stone, floral engraved balance cog and is clean with a good strong tick running the full length of its chain keeping good time and marked Jno Tedbury Liverpool with the number 9184. The stopwatch lever is in working order.

The back covers are marked to the inside with Chester silver hallmarks for 1836 and the makers mark TC (Thomas Cubbin) with the number 9184 (well rubbed) telling us the watch movement and both cases started life together. It is key wind and set. The dial and bullseye dial glass are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks with a little scratching to its dial glass and a faint hairline to its dial. The case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with all the covers closing nice and tight. Please note the button on the side of its pair case is missing The watch Measures 45mm excluding crown and its pair case 51mm.
